I am a self-taught photographer who started out in photography in 2000. I got attracted to black & white photography after inherited my mother's 45 years old Shanghai TLR (Seagull-4) camera, with which I took my very first roll. Since then I have never looked back.
I shoot exclusively in black & white film with a fully manual SLR, rangefinder and a TLR for personal projects, mostly based on street photography, portraiture, landscape and night photography. I do play with toy camera like HOLGA too. I find film has that special image quality and aesthetic value, compare to those captured on digital sensors (my personal preference).
However, I still do digital photography with a DSLR only for job assignments. covering mainly on events, actual-day weddings and portraiture photography.
I am also a music lover. I used to play electric guitars in local bands. Occasionally I still jam with my band mates. My main music influences are experimental, improvising, noise-art, avant-garde, free-jazz, post-rock, punk, grunge. I do listen to classical, opera (even though I do not understand the language), new age, bluegrass.
